About us
Senfineco – association established in heart of Poland – Lodz in 2018. The name Senfineco stands for two pillars of actvity of the organisation – multicultural context by using word coming from esperanto language and its polish inventor – Ludwik Zamenhof what underlines local activity of Senfineco.
Behind the association stands bunch of people with diverse educational background – psychology, logistics, pedagogy. Potential of the organisation is built of expertise of its members who relate their professional life with: project management, training and facilitating, HR or work with children with special needs. Each of staff member is experienced in international mobilities, or EVS or Erasmus+ student exchanges what created their vision to create a multicultural context of NGO. Multiculural context of organisation is highlighted by its origins – Lodz is called ,,city of 4 cultures”, historically combining 4 nations: Poles, Russians, Jewish and German. Since the multicultural context of the city where Senfineco comes from one of our core values is peacebuilding between stereotypically antagonistic nations, including Rome community in our region. Taking advantage of the publication of Council of Europe and SALTO Youth we train representatives of high school pupils from rural area in central region of Poland where minorities of Rome communities are the highest – how to build dialogue and understanding. Within the collaboration in the project about extremism and radicalism in Poland we created a brochure ,,Extremism understanding” where we present ,,Do’s and Don’t’s in process of extremism prevention for youth age 14-18.

Members of Senfineco for couple of years are active in peacebuilding processes in Poland and collaborate with international organisations from Eastern Europe dealing in the field. In 2017 our board took a part in youth exchange focused on the democracy building processes in Ukraine in the context of military context. Also in 2017 together with University of Lodz, Management Faculty and Amnesty International we organized a point for Write for Rights collection over 100 letters concerning rights of worldwide peace builders whose rights were violated. In 2018 our members took a part in No Hate Speech Movement training course in Belgium (July 2018) where learnt about methods of creating democratic ground and environment for peaceful dialogue. Within the dissemination of the project we organized cycle of workshops (September 2018) concerning methods and tools for youth workers in the context of peaceful dialogue, critical thinking, cyber violence and hate speech prevention. Additionally some of our members are activists – on the ground of their daily work as psychologists, trainers but also history teacher encourage youth to critically assess actions taken to since IIWW aiming to peacebuilding in Europe and build their own capacities and potential to grass-roots initiatives by presenting international opportunities of self development and raising open-mindness. In November 2018 in Budapest will take place conference (SESCO 2018) where our President will present outcomes of the own research about impact of western and eastern propaganda on internal security of Poland. In the research were involved volunteers of Senfineco by contributing with their opinions, discussions and observations of media in recent polish publications.
